Villa Katarina's location is good. About ten/fifteen minutes walk from the old town in Dubrovnik, and in a quiet area. Katarina is very friendly and helpful, and our room was comfortable and very clean. The air conditioning is excellent, and although this is very much a room within the family house, we had 24 access with our own outer door, so didn't feel we were intruding by coming in late. The room was simple, double bed, wardrobe, fridge and en-suite, but had everything we needed for a couple of nights, and was very clean.
Not so much a dislike, as simply worth mentioning to other travelers. The set-up of this apartment is basically a double room with en-suite in the family's house - with a door straight on to the garden so you don't have to go through the house to get to your room and can come and go as you please. There is however an inner door into the house, which was locked but not very well sound proofed, so things got a bit noisy in the mornings when the kids woke up. There is also quite a lot of evidence that it is a family's room in the amount of personal stuff laying around - boxes of stuff on top of the wardrobes, cupboards in the room obviously used for storing stuff and even some wardrobe doors chained locked, so obviously used for storage. It's not in any way intrusive, but alongside the slight noise from the house, it does make the room feel a little less private.

Great Staff , and kind people. Room a bit little, but good for a two days visiting the city. Decent cleaness, good for young people. Near bus station (5 mins). Higly Advised for easygoing people like us
A bit far away from the city (about 15 min walking) and from cable car (atlas bus - 20 min).

The apartment was clean and compact, with all necessary items for light cooking. the bed was comfortable and the air conditioning worked well, which was a relief during the hot weather. the staff was friendly and helpful, providing good service throughout our stay. the location was convenient, with a small grocery store within a 5-minute walk and easy access to bus stops. the room had a terrace area to relax in, and there were markets and restaurants nearby.
The sound isolation between rooms could be improved, as we could hear people talking in the evenings.

The host, Kate was very nice to us. She gave us fresh grapes upon our arrival on a hot September day. Nice room with fridge. Bathroom was spacious. Nothing to complain at all. Her husband was really helpful in carrying our bags to his car as we asked them to take us to the airport (of course at a fee). Would recommend this place.
There are a few but managable steps to reach the main door, certainly fewer steps that it would have been had we stayed in the old town of Dubrovnik.

We had a really nice stay at Villa Katarina. We stayed in a big apartment with 2 bedrooms, 1 full bathroom plus 1 toilet, a big kitchen, living room and a terrace with sea view. It was clean and comfortable. The owner was very nice, gave us maps and instructions on how to get to the old town (about 15 minutes walking) and her husband kindly took us to the bus station to help us with our luggage.
Be careful with heavy luggage because there are some stairs to get to Villa Katarina. The street Srebrenska is a little bit hidden (you can only access to it walking through some stairs) but the owner was kind to wait us at the entrance of the street upon our arrival to help us to find the way. She also offered us a service of transfer from the airport for 35€ which was very handy considering that we’ve arrived late night.

The location of the villa offers a lovely area outside to chill out in and enjoy snacks. the room is very comfortable and modern, with a clean bathroom and the convenience of a fridge and kettle. the villa is close to a bakery and supermarket for breakfast, and within walking distance of the port and Old Town.
The hotel's location can be a bit confusing and difficult to find on Google maps.

We spent 9 days at Villa Katarina from 2 to 9 of September. It was a splendid time - very hospitable and attentive to guests owner, clean, comfortable and good equipped room, lovely country yard. Villa Katarina is placed near by The Old Town of Dubrovnik (10-15 min on foot). There are also a lot of beaches and places for pleasant walks! Elena, Boris, Moscow
